If you have been injured in an automobile-related accident, you have access to physiotherapy through your car insurance policy. You do not need to see a physician first, unless you so choose. You may see one of our physiotherapists directly, as soon as possible. We will assess you and if further investigation is required by a doctor, we will make the appropriate referral, or send a letter to your own physician.

CSA Physiotherapy’s Unique Auto Accident Rehabilitation Program

CSA Physiotherapy has a very unique approach to the management of auto injuries. At many clinics, you will be seen by one physiotherapist from start to finish. In contrast to this, our clinics use a 'case management' approach. All auto-accident patients are assessed by the case manager, who is a senior orthopedic physiotherapist at the clinic. An appropriate treatment plan is then developed. The plan may include physiotherapy, IMS, occupational therapy, massage therapy or a combination of treatments. Most often, the case manager will set up your treatment so that you will see one or more of the 15 different therapists we employ. In this manner, you are not 'stuck' with the therapist that you first book to see, when in fact one of our other therapists may be better suited to treat your injury.

How do we ensure you get the best rehabilitation possible?

Re-assessments by the case manager occur at 3-6 week intervals to determine if the treatment plan is successful or needs to be adjusted in any way. Outcome measures, objective findings and subjective reports are all utilized to clearly demonstrate the progress of each patient. New treatment plans are developed regularly, until the patient is discharged at maximum function with a home exercise program.
